Delete Your Account
Last updated: September 13, 2026
You can delete your The Vital Shift account, and everything we hold about you, whenever you want. You do not have to give a reason, and you do not have to ask anybodyβs permission.
1. The quickest way: in the app
Open the app and go to Account → Delete my account. The screen lists exactly what deleting will remove from your account β your progress photos, your check-ins, your weight and measurement entries, your plans β with the real numbers for your account, not a general warning. You then re-enter your password to confirm.
Deletion is immediate and it cannot be undone. When you confirm, your account and the data listed below are removed from our systems. Your coach does not keep a copy.
2. If you cannot use the app
You do not need the app installed, and you do not need a working phone. Email thevitalshift333@gmail.com from the address your account uses, with the subject line Delete my account. We will confirm your identity, delete the account, and write back to tell you it is done β within 7 working days, and usually the same day.
If you cannot email from that address, write to us from any address and say so; we will ask you something only the account holder would know rather than refusing you.
3. What is deleted
Everything below goes, permanently:
- Your login and your profile β name, email address, phone number, age, height, and the medical conditions, allergies and goals you told us.
- Your diet plans, and any plans you generated or saved yourself.
- Your weight, measurements, check-ins, habit logs and what you logged eating.
- Your progress photographs, including the image files themselves.
- For DIY subscribers: your vitals β glucose, blood pressure, thyroid and the rest β and your subscription record.
- The devices you are signed in on, your notification settings and your push token, so nothing can be delivered to your phone afterwards.
- Any feedback you sent us from inside the app.
4. What is kept, and why
One line in our internal audit log, recording that an account was deleted, on what date, and how many records went with it. It holds a number β not your name, not your email address, and nothing about your health. It exists so that we can show a deletion happened if anybody ever asks, and it cannot be traced back to you.
If you paid for a DIY subscription, the payment record held by our payment provider is theirs and not ours, and their own retention rules apply to it. Deleting your account here does not cancel or refund a subscription that still has time left on it.
5. What deleting does not do
- It does not end a coaching arrangement or any agreement you have with a coach or a partner clinic. If you are in a programme, tell them as well.
- It does not refund a subscription with days remaining.
- It does not delete emails you have sent us from your own mailbox, or messages in a chat with your coach on a service we do not run.
6. If you only want less of something
Deleting your account is not the only option, and for most people it is not the one they want:
- Too many notifications? Turn them off in the app under Reminders. Nothing else changes.
- Do not want crash reports sent? There is a separate switch for that in the app, and turning it off does not affect anything else.
- Want something corrected rather than removed? Ask your coach, or email us. We will fix it.
